Good news if you’re in the MD/DC area–my signing with Howard County Library has been rescheduled, and I’ll be at the Miller Branch on December 1. Hope to see you there! More info here.
P. S. Signed books make great Christmas gifts.
This week I had the opportunity to share some thoughts with Superstition Review about politics, writing, what I’m working on, and making art in the age of Trump.
The full post is here, and I hope you take a few minutes to read it.
This is just a quick update to let you know the September 15th event at Howard County Library (Miller Branch) has been postponed due to the impending inclement weather. Never fear, it’s still happening! We don’t know when yet, but as soon as I have that information I will share it here and across social media platforms.
Thanks for your patience.
I’m so excited to share with you guys that Villains is not only Waterstones’ Thriller of the Month for May, but it is now officially a UK Bestseller.
I am so grateful to everybody who made this happen, whether you worked on the book or just bought a copy for someone for Christmas. And if you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, I hope you will! (This many people can’t be wrong… right?)
Love.
So excited to share that Villains has been chosen as Waterstones’ Thriller of the Month for May! It’s on sale for UK readers, so now’s the time to grab it.
From the Waterstones website:
If We Were Villains teases out a story of a close-knit coterie poisoned by a seed of passionate rivalry. As play spills over into something much more sinister, the scene is set for unspeakable acts. As darkly compelling and tautly plotted as any Shakespearian tragedy, M. L. Rio delivers a haunting debut of blood-sworn friendship, dangerous obsession and murderous intent.
Happy reading across the pond!
If We Were Villains is on sale in paperback online and at a bookstore near you! Check out this great snap from the Strand–which two of the characters actually visit in the story. Hope to see it on your shelves soon.
The If We Were Villains paperback is coming soon, and we’re launching it in style! If you’re anywhere near Washington, DC, please come by East City Bookshop at 4 p.m. on April 22nd for some Q&A about the book (and if you like, get your copy signed). You can find more details here.
Hope to see you there!
